The U.S. Alliance is part of a Christ-centered global movement more than 6 million strong. Our Acts 1:8 family—inspired by Jesus’ love and empowered by His Spirit—is passionate to bring the good news about Him to our neighborhoods and world.
Our Alliance family celebrates Jesus—the image of the invisible God, the Lord of all Creation! Colossians 2:9-10 declares, "For in Christ, all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form, and in Christ you have been brought to fullness." Our heartbeat is to know Jesus as our Savior (Acts 4:12), Sanctifier (1 Corinthians 1:30), Healer (James 5:15), and Coming King (Acts 1:11).
Because of who He is and what He’s done, we are compelled to “go!” Humbled by the open invitation He extends to us—what we call the Great Commission—we join Him in His work to restore and reconcile lost and broken people to Himself.
Acts 1:8 is in our DNA. We are convinced it is only by the Holy Spirit’s empowerment that we can fully express Jesus’ love, compassion, and mercy to those who do not know Him. In Acts 1:8, Jesus informs His disciples, "… But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."
We are part of Christ’s Church—His chosen means to fulfill His purposes on earth, restoring a lost and broken world until He returns to reclaim it. A member of the Alliance World Fellowship (AWF), the U.S. Alliance is one of a network of national churches that make up our global family. Romans 12:5 teaches, "… so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others."
In the United States, our Alliance family extends His love to everyone we meet; we walk with our neighbors through the steep challenges life brings, introducing them to the One who offers true hope. We plant churches in spiritually thirsty neighborhoods, discipling and mentoring new believers to become healthy, passionate Jesus followers. Today in our U.S. Alliance family there are over 500,000 worshipers, speaking 37 languages and dialects, in 2,000 churches.
Our U.S. family sends and supports hundreds of Alliance international workers who care for the sick, befriend the lonely, and introduce spiritually impoverished people to the One who releases us all from the curse of sin and the sting of death. Right now, there are more than 700 U.S. Alliance Workers, who serve in 70 nations.
